With Wi-Fi Direct, you can print from a mobile device(such as a smartphone or notebook computer) directly to the printer without connecting to a wireless network.

Note: When Advanced is selected as the Connection Method option, WiFi Direct connection features are disabled, the WiFi Direct name is changed and the printer can only be connected as an available wireless network which requires a password.

Advanced Settings

Do not broadcast the Wi-Fi Direct name

Do not show the Wi-Fi Direct name on reports or on the printer's control panel

Do not show password on the reports or the printer's control panel (This password will be required for near field communication, NFC, connections.)
